No one likes getting into an accident but if you follow these simple tips you'll be in a far better position to deal with it!

Stay calm and take common-sense steps to ensure the accident scene is as safe as possible.
Render assistance to others where safe and where possible
Notify police if there are injuries or property damage
Do not admit liability to any party
Exchange names, address, registration numbers and any other relevant material with other parties(including witnesses), before leaving the scene.
If you require towing, Call Accident Allocations Centre on 13 1176 in the allocation area, or local towing in country areas
When the tow truck arrives the driver must have an allocation number before towing your vehicle (in the allocation area)
It is your right to dermine where the vehicle is to be towed. If you are unsure then contact your insurer.
Ensure the destination is recorded on the Authority to tow form, before you sign.
